Meredith S. Tibjash began metalsmithing in 2009 while studying working on a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Bowling Green State University, recieving a BFA in 3D Studies Art with a focus in Jewelry and Metals, minoring in Popular Culture (2010). After undergrad, Meredith moved back home to the Cleveland, Ohio area and set up a studio growing plants, continuing to develop new jewelry and knives, and making furniture.
In Fall 2014, Meredith moved to Touchstone Center for Crafts as one of their first Artist in Residence focusing in Blacksmithing. In January 2015 Meredith traveled across the pond to take part as the first US Artist in Residence at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, Surrey, England. This artist in residence was for roughly 7 months. Upon returning to Cleveland, Meredith has continue to develop work and furniture.
In 2018, Meredith moved to Asheville, North Carolina, making more jewelry and furniture, and started teaching adults and kids how to make their own jewelry.
