Meredith S. Tibjash began metalsmithing in 2009 while studying for her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Bowling Green State University. She earned her BFA in 3D Studies Art in 2010 with a focus in Jewelry and Metals, with a Minor in Popular Culture.
After undergrad, Meredith moved back home to the Cleveland, Ohio area and set up her own studio. She is currently growing plants, continuing to develop new jewelry and knives, and making furniture.
In Fall 2014, Meredith moved to Touchstone Center for Crafts as one of their first Artist in Residence – Blacksmithing. In January 2015 she traveled across the pond to take part as the first US Artist in Residence at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, Surrey, England. She lived and worked there for roughly 7 months.
Upon returning to Cleveland, Meredith has continue to develop her work and knives and is in the process of starting a new business venture in 2018 called Plantwood Parlour. Please keep a look out, and feel free to check it out on Instagram here.
